I have been teaching English language and literature for ten years now and working with young people who want to improve and do the best that they possibly can in their GCSEs never gets old. I thrive on helping students break through the barriers that they have and seeing the lightbulb moments when something finally clicks. For me, that's what it is all about.

English language and literature are my absolute passion. I love the texts that students learn, but I recognise that students don't always engage with them. I enjoy nothing more than breaking down the tough stuff in English and trying to make it accessible to young people so that they can reach their potential and thrive in their GCSE years.

And it's so amazing to watch their writing grow in the process as they get to understand the texts more and more. I have taught hundreds - maybe even thousands of students now - and the results I get reflect exceptional progress.
